How to purchase a Yarborough knife
Used and approved by the quiet professionals, the Yarborough knife, a combat field knife, was designed by renowned knife maker Bill Harsey and is manufactured by Chris Reeve Knives. Current and former soldiers who can prove their membership in the US Army Special Forces may purchase one serialized Yarborough knife through the Special Forces Association.
The following information is needed for authorization:
- Full Name
- Civilian Address
- Telephone Number
- Email Address
- Documentary proof of Special Forces qualification i.e. graduation certificate, DD214, ORB/ERB, SF Tab orders, etc.
- Driver’s License photocopy
- Additional Information (SFQC Class #/Graduation Date or Projected SFQC Class #/Graduation Date)

Gifting & Requests Prior to Graduation
Gifting a Yarborough also requires an authorization letter that can be attained by following the same steps listed above. These requests will not be processed until AFTER Q-course graduation. Even if you want it to be a surprise, you must wait for the candidate to graduate.
The general public may order a non-serialized version of the Yarborough knife called the Green Beret directly from Chris Reeve Knives.
