How to purchase a Yarborough knife

History

Since 2002, select soldiers graduating from the US Special Forces Qualification Course have been presented the Yarborough knife, a combat field knife designed by renowned knife maker William Harsey and manufactured by Chris Reeve Knives.

Current and former soldiers who can prove their membership in the US Special Forces may purchase a serialized Yarborough knife through the JFK Special Warfare Museum. Qualified members include active duty, reserve, National Guard, honorably separated or retirees. Requests by family members or estates of deceased, qualified Special Forces Regiment members who can prove their Soldier’s qualification will be reviewed on a case by case basis. 

To request authorization to purchase the knife, please contact the Museum Gift Shop at the JFK Special Warfare Museum:

The general public may order a non-serialized version of the Yarborough knife directly from Chris Reeve Knives.

If your dad is a current or former soldier and you can prove his membership in the US Special Forces, you may purchase a serialized Yarborough knife through the JFK Special Warfare Museum by using the following contact information:

Hi Morris,

The general public may purchase a non-serialized version of the Yarborough knife called the “Green Beret” knife. You can order it directly through our website or from any of our authorized dealers. We offer a few different configurations of the Green Beret knife, so if you’d like yours configured just like the Yarborough, make sure to order it with a 7" serrated blade with black coating.
